Mr. Jason Joseph Cotton - Session 6 - Macroeconomic Challenges
Joseph Jason Cotton is an Economist in the Research Department of the Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago. During his seven year tenure at the Bank he has worked in the Public Finance and more recently the International Sections of the Research Department and has contributed to the Bank’s routine reporting, economic forecasting and policy and academic research in these areas. Additionally, “Jason” as he is commonly known has made presentations in these areas in various national and regional forums including the Conference on the Economy hosted by the Department of Economics, University of the West Indies, St Augustine and the Annual Monetary Studies Conference hosted by the Caribbean Centre for Money and Finance. He is a graduate of the University of the West Indies, St Augustine with M.Sc. and BSc. Degrees in Economics and is an Executive member of the recently revived Trinidad and Tobago Economics Association. Jason’s research interests include: Public Finances, International Trade and Sustainable Development.
Outside of his academic pursuits, Jason is a member of Toastmasters International which is a non-profit educational organization that teaches leadership and public speaking skills and is a committed Christian who serves on the leadership team of the Arima Evangelical Church.
