Mr. Steven Greenleaf - Session 7 - Environmental and Socio Political Challenges

 

Mr. Steven Greenleaf is the President of the Caribbean Institute of Sustainability, a non profit organization dedicated to the sustainable development and protection of the environment and of Trinidad and Tobago and the Caribbean region. Focusing on training and capacity building, the Caribbean Institute of Sustainability provides consulting services in policy, planning, and project implementation to the public and private sectors and to Civil Society organizations, and offers professional, technical, and vocational training.

A permanent resident of Trinidad and Tobago, Mr. Greenleaf is originally from California, where he was a natural resource management consultant, licensed general building contractor, rancher, and fire fighter. He holds numerous professional certifications, including green building, and watershed management. He has provided professional services to the Government of Trinidad and Tobago, the Caribbean Development Bank, the Tourism Development Company of Trinidad and Tobago, and to private sector clients.

Mr. Greenleaf studied Conservation of Natural Resources at the University of California – Berkeley, and Natural Resource Planning and Interpretation at Humboldt State University.
