Michèle Alexandre
Michèle Alexandre is an Assistant Professor
of Law at Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law, University
of Memphis, Tennessee. She was educated at Harvard Law
School where she earned her doctoral degree. In 2003
she obtained a Fulbright scholar‘s award which
took her back to her homeland in Haiti, while another
Fulbright Scholarly award took her to Trinidad and Tobago
in 2004. Dr. Alexandre’s specializations and areas
of publication include property, critical race theory
and feminist legal theory. She has also written numerous
articles, including At the Intersection of Post-911
Immigration Practices and Domestic Policies: Can Katrina
Serve as a Catalyst for Change? and Big Love: Is Feminist
