Arif Bulkan

Amilcar Sanatan

Arif Bulkan is a Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Law at the University of the West Indies, St Augustine, Trinidad and Tobago, where he currently lectures criminal law, constitutional law and human rights law. Before this he practiced law in Guyana as a prosecutor and then primarily in the area of criminal defence. In 2008 he obtained a PhD in Law from Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto, Canada on the survival of the rights of Guyana’s indigenous peoples. He is a co-founder and co-coordinator of the UWI Rights Advocacy Project (U-RAP) along with Tracy Robinson.
