Colin Robinson

Colin Robinsonis a postgraduate humanities student at UWI-St. Augustine. He lives transnationally between the United States, where he was an illegal immigrant for a decade and a lead organiser in GLBT Black and Caribbean communities, and the Caribbean, where he works on a number of projects on sexual citizenship. He writes gspottt.wordpress.com, the blog of CAISO, the Coalition Advocating for Inclusion of Sexual Orientation in Trinidad & Tobago; co-founded Caribbean Pride, the oldest Caribbean GLBT entity outside the region; has been a leader with the regional Caribbean Forum for Liberation and Acceptance of Genders and Sexualities; edited Think Again, a volume of personal narratives challenging the accountability of HIV prevention to gay men’s real lives, desires and communities; and was a field producer for Marlon Riggs’s provocative 1989 documentary film Tongues Untied
