Taitu Heron
Taitu Heron  is a Senior Development Professional and CEO of TAMAH Consulting Services; a Human Rights Advocate, and a Performance Poet. Originally from Jamaica, Barbados has been home since 2018. Her poetry encompasses relationships, identity politics, violence, dreams, neocolonial Caribbean life, the erotic, human dignity, motherhood, African-centered spirituality, and the COVID-19 pandemic. Taitu Heron has published poetry in HYSTERIA and Interviewing the Caribbean and some of her poetry can be found at https://medium.com/@tamahpoetry Before moving to Barbados, she performed her poetry at the Red Bones Café in Kingston, Poetry Nights at Bookaphilia, Pride Jamaica’s Poetry Night, and Kingston on the Edge’s Urban Art Festival. In Barbados, she has read her poetry at Crop Over’s Literary Festival, The Healing Room, Word.Sound.Power, the Poetry Lime, and is an active member of Poetree Barbados.
