Joel Simpson
Joel Simpson holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Guyana. His research interests include homophobia, human rights, gender, vulnerability, sexual heath, and stigma and discrimination. He is the former UNESCO Human Rights Researcher at the HIV Education Unit at the University of the West Indies St. Augustine Campus. He is also the founding Co-Chairperson of Society Against Sexual Orientation Discrimination (SASOD) in Guyana and Steering Committee Member of the Caribbean Forum for Liberation and Acceptance of Genders and Sexualities (CARIFLAGS).
