Pre-Health Professions Programme (PHPP)

Specifically designed for Regional and International Students

The Pre-Health Professions Programme (PHPP) at The UWI St. Augustine Campus is a one-year (three-semester) certificate programme specially designed to prepare non-national students for matriculation to the degree programmes at The UWI in Medicine, Dentistry, Veterinary Medicine and Pharmacy.

Delivered by the Faculty of Medical Sciences at The UWI St. Augustine in Trinidad, the programme is designed around pre-medical and pre-health courses in English, Chemistry, Biology, Physics and Mathematics. The courses are delivered during the regular 1st and 2nd semesters (i.e. September – December and January – May) as well as the 9 week summer semester in June – July.

On successful completion of this accelerated programme, students would have completed credits towards normal matriculation for admission to degree programmes in the Faculty of Medical Sciences, other Faculties of The UWI or another university.

PHPP puts you on a path toward your dream of becoming a medical professional in your home country or abroad. Learn more and apply today!
