The Faculty of Science and Technology

The UWI has been invited to nominate ten (10) students to represent the University of the West Indies, St Augustine Campus, to the 11Th University Scholars Leadership Symposium (USLS), 2023, to be held at the United Nations Conference Centre (UNCC) in Bangkok, Thailand from August 1st – 4th, 2023.  This is a youth leadership event focused on developing leaders who can bring about social change.

The USLS is Humanitarian Affairs Asia’s signature program. It fosters young leaders’ initiative and capacity to initiate socially meaningful projects to address climate change, poverty and inequality. With the collaboration of UN agencies and partner government departments, delegates are empowered to start-up projects to contribute to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.  

The symposium has limited capacity, so be sure to indicate your interest in attending by sending an email to STA-FST.Undergraduate@sta.uwi.edu by Wednesday, 8th March 2023.
