Eligibility

You must be a registered full-time or part-time student of The UWI St Augustine within the:

  • Faculty of Science and Technology,
  • Faculty of Engineering
  • Faculty of Social Science, Department of Management Studies
  • Have a minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Completed at least the second year of your undergraduate program
  • Must be dependable, flexible and demonstrate initiative.

Seeds for the Future

Students will obtain valuable cutting-edge ICT knowledge developed by Huawei’s Headquarters and experience cross-cultural communication virtually.

The scheme will offer undergraduate students a rich experience involving technology classes (including 5G, Cloud, AI, etc), leadership classes, cultural experiences, international corporate tours, and communication with peers worldwide. In addition, the programme has incorporated in-person local talks and on-site tours with some of Huawei’s own T&T ICT experts to allow the students to learn more about what’s happening in the sector locally.

This year, Huawei offers an immersive study trip to Panama to the top 3 students of the programme!

CCRIF INVITES APPLICATIONS FOR ITS INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME 2022

CCRIF invites recent Caribbean university graduates to apply for an internship to work with a Caribbean organization in an area related to disaster risk management and climate change adaptation.
 
The 2022 Internship Programme includes:
·       On-site internships – working with a national or regional organization in the Caribbean
·       A limited number of virtual internships – working remotely with a national or regional organization in the Caribbean
 
CCRIF interns will:
·       work for 2-3 months (between June 2022 and April 2023)
·       receive a monthly stipend
·       receive certification in disaster risk financing and parametric insurance
 
Candidates applying must have completed their bachelor’s degree by the beginning date of the internship.

The NASA I2 project team at NIHERST is pleased to present the 2020 NASA International Internship Project (NASA I2). This is the seventh cycle of NASA I2 with Trinidad and Tobago. The NASA I2 summer term is tentatively scheduled to take place from June 5th to August 11th, 2020, and NIHERST wishes to share the opportunity with all eligible T&T nationals, in support of the overarching goal of national development.

In order to provide NASA with the short-listed candidates by February 2020, and facilitate a thorough local screening of candidates, the deadline for submission of applications is no later than January 17th, 2020.

Queen Elizabeth Commonwealth Scholarships 2019

Applications are open for the 2019 round of the newly renamed Queen Elizabeth Commonwealth Scholarships!

Hosted by member institutions in 11 countries across the Commonwealth, 17 fully-funded Master’s scholarships are available. Students can elect to study under one of four subject areas: 

  • Arts and humanities 
  • Medicine, health and life sciences 
  • Physical sciences, engineering and mathematics 
  • Social sciences 

Applications close on 6 February 2019 at 4 pm (GMT)

The scholarships are tenable for Master’s awards in 11 countries, including Bangladesh, Botswana, Eswatini, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, Mauritius, Pakistan, Rwanda, Tanzania, and the West Indies (Jamaica, Barbados or Trinidad).
