Former National Gas Company (NGC) chairman and one-time group chief operating officer of ANSA McAL, Gerry Brooks, was appointed Professor of Practice assigned to STACIE.
He brings a wealth of business leadership experience to the role, and he is expected to foster strategic industry alliances. As Professor of Practice, Mr Brooks will help connect the University’s teaching and research to real-world issues impacting industry in the region.
The Professor of Practice is a non-tenured position in which subject matter experts receive an honorary professorship based on their professional competence, distinguished practice, notable teaching or service. Hosting such experts integrates practical knowledge into students’ educational experiences.
