WRITING WINNING CONCEPT NOTES/EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST
The St. Augustine Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (STACIE) invites you to register for a Workshop entitled WRITING WINNING CONCEPT NOTES/EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST.
The Workshop will be held on Thursday and Friday 18-19 April, 2024 from 9:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M. at the Faculty of Social Sciences Lounge.
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
The workshop is designed to support researchers who have already initiated the design and development of Concept Notes (CN) or Expressions of Interest (EOI), as well as for those who are at the conceptual stage. Participants will be expected to refer to instructions, discussions, exercises and activities to develop their document further. Once drafted, lodging CNs and EOIs with University Offices, Institutes and Centres allows for suitable projects to be quickly and easily identified and submitted as and when funding opportunities arise.
OUTCOMES
On completion of this workshop, participants will be able to:
1.Identify the key components of a successful Concept Notes and Expressions of Interest
2. Translate research ideas that require funding into a well-written Concept Note
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
Researchers who have an interest getting funding to pursue new research ideas or progress their research activity, including students, academic staff, and senior administrative staff. Basically, anybody with responsibility for, or interest in, submitting strong and effective CN/EOI to support research and fundraising initiatives.
