COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course introduces students to Microsoft’s suite of collaborative tools within the Microsoft 365 platform. It will focus on the Teams, SharePoint, Planner, Yammer and Streams applications.

The course will enlighten students on the collaboration opportunities as well as the types of collaboration possible among members or groups within their organization. The course will also help students to understand the value and benefits of using Microsoft Teams as the hub for their team’s work and communications.

The course will be assessed using two (2) quizzes and a project based final assessment.

 

Course Aims

The primary aim of this course is to help students build their knowledge and develop their ability to use Microsoft’s collaborative tools to be productive in their work assignments, tasks and activities. The course will provide hands on practical experience in the use of Teams, Planner, Streams, Yammer and SharePoint. Students will be able to use these tools to communicate and share content. Students will also learn to create new Teams and SharePoint sites for use by their team or group members. They will also learn to customize the content of these team/group/project sites.
