The internship programme was truly rewarding experience for me as it allowed me to gain experience in the working environment for which my degree has been preparing me for, opportunities to gain exposure with new technologies, frameworks and methodologies, and the ability to utilize both the academic and non-academic skills developed throughout my degree
I was afforded me the opportunity to work as part of a development team carrying the projects through the entire software development cycle allowing me to gain experience with all aspects of software development, from requirements gathering and changing client requirements to testing and deployment of the software products developed, ensuring that the projects met their strict deadlines and development benchmarks.
Aside from the chance to put my degree into practice, I created new friendships and has taught me to separate personal differences from working relationships ensuring that the success of the project is always the priority
The programme aided in enhancing my existing knowledge base, growing and developing my soft skills and providing me with increased confidence to enter the workforce upon the completion of my degree.
