A Sexual Culture of Justice

Strengthening LGBTQI and GBV Partnerships, Capacity and Efficacy to Promote and Protect Rights in Trinidad and Tobago

This project is a community-university collaboration that provides three years of support for some of the longest-standing and emerging local efforts to transform approaches to partner violence, homophobia, bullying and policing, while building partnerships and organisational capacity. Runs April 2017 to March 2020

Breaking the Silence:

The Project seeks to break the silence on the taboo subject of child sexual abuse (CSA)/incest and its implications for HIV throughout Trinidad and Tobago by empowering children, parents, communities, policy makers and service providers who work in child protection, HIV/AIDS and women’s rights.

Work/Life Balance and Ageing: 

Studying the productivity and wellbeing of working men and women

This project examines the contemporary challenges of working women and men aged 40-65 in balancing their work and family life commitments in Trinidad and the way in which this balance is offset or aggravated by the longer life expectancy of the population.

Connecting the Dots: Work.Life.Balance.Ageing - Born out of a three-year research project conducted in the Caribbean, through a mixed-methods approach, including talking circles, time-use journals, and in-depth interviews, Connecting the Dots delves into issues that examine the breadth of adulthood. Facebook page
