About the DSSD
Who We Are
We are a team of Higher Education Student Services professionals with an eclectic mix of skills, talents and competencies; working cohesively to support students in achieving both their personal and professional goals whilst cultivating a positive and enriching student life experience at The UWI, St. Augustine Campus.
Through our eight (8) dynamic departments, the DSSD functions as strategic partners in student learning, development and student success. We are committed to the well-being of all members of our student population and facilitating high impact learning across the student lifecycle. Through our diverse service offerings, we support the creation and delivery of a fully integrated, holistic educational experience using student engagement strategies, multi-disciplinary student programming and the provision of a wide range of developmental opportunities.

The DSSD is committed to the holistic development of students enrolled at The UWI St. Augustine Campus. We are committed to the provision of comprehensive programming and services that support and cater to the diverse and evolving needs of our students. Our work is grounded in research, patterned after student services best practices and principles and focused on supporting the success of our students within the university community and beyond.
