The Centre for Language Learning joined the JF Nihongo Network, also known as the “Sakura Network”, in 2016, in demonstration of its commitment to the teaching of Japanese in Trinidad and Tobago.

The Japan Foundation seeks to foster collaboration among institutions where Japanese is taught and has an avid interest in enhancing the quality of Japanese education worldwide.

As a result of this membership the tutors of Japanese at the Centre are able to engage in annual training sessions to ensure that their pedagogy is up-to-date and in keeping with best practice.
